Cat creates expressive ceramic portraits of Animals and Humans.

She uses stains and oxides to add colour to her sculptures. The natural clay colour is an important element of Cat's work so very little glaze is used.

There's  a strong element of story telling involved in Cat's playful sculptures along with the viewer being invited to provide  back stories for her characters.

Inspiration is taken from the emotional complexity of the human condition.Facial expression is a universal language that can inform with no dialogue. We can all relate to this and Cat attempts to capture these fleeting emotions in her sculpture.
